Ocean City Ghost Walk

Who would suspect that tucked into all the concrete, asphalt and high rises, there were ghosts in Ocean City, Maryland?  The storyteller leading your Ocean City Ghost Walk will let guests experience the unfamiliar historic parts of the town and will reveal a haunted history like no other Eastern Shore destination.  There are over a dozen ghosts that linger in the historic district of Ocean City and on this Ghost Tour, you’ll learn about many of them.

PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT GO INSIDE THE PROPERTIES.  This is a ghost walk where stories of hauntings and unexplained events are shared while standing outside the property.

SITES ON THE OCEAN CITY GHOST WALK include the Ocean City Life-saving Museum, Tarry-A-While guest house, the Henry Hotel, Atlantic Hotel, Shoreham Hotel, Trimper Amusements, the Plim Plaza and other properties from the Inlet to 4th Street in the historic district.

START & WHERE TO PARK – This ghost walk starts at the Ocean City Life-saving Station Museum at the end of the Boardwalk at the Inlet.  The walk runs between the Inlet to 4th Street and is NOT A LOOP, so park somewhere between the Inlet and 4th street.  It may be easiest to park at the Inlet and walk back from 4th street at the end or up to 4th Street to begin.

  1. We are only on town for a few days . My other daughter has been on the your and loved it. We did not realize that we should have booked prior to coming. Might there be room for 2 more? Thanks

  2. Just got back from our Ocean City ghost walk with Kelly. She did an amazing job even with the 25mph winds and rain. As I was looking trough my pictures of the Atlantic Hotel on the boardwalk, I noticed an odd picture. There is an image of a person standing in the lobby. There in one picture an immediately gone in the next. It was a very fun an interesting evening!

  3. I am scheduled for the Ocean City ghost walk Wednesday the 24th- the weather report for the evening says 1-2 inches of rain with heavy wind. Will the tour still go on?

    1. Suzanne, we walk in all kinds of weather unless it is a threat to public safety (in which case we will call the guests and let them know the ghost walk is cancelled but that is unlikely). We walk in the rain and we love the rain! There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.

      1. Guests showed up and enjoyed the tour, Ronnie. Last night’s tour went on and the guests in attendance even requested the longer version of the tour and completed the full 1.7 miles. They had a lot of fun as noted in Tamar Kiewe’s comment above.

We don’t cancel for rain. There are several reasons we don’t but in short, we have guests who don’t mind the rain and they show up. Every walk has this noted on its page stating that we walk in all kinds of weather except conditions that threaten public safety.

While every guest might have a different preference, our policy is that we don’t cancel for rain. Here’s a post that gives more information on this policy.

  4. My family and I toured the ghost walk on Wednesday 7/9/14 at 8:30pm. Our guide was Kelly and she did a great job. The tour was very educating and left us with much to think about. Fine for all ages! Thank you for such a great time.

    1. Hey there, Matt. Thanks so much for your feedback. I think I remember meeting you and the others in your group at the check-in. So glad you could be a part of our walks and even more glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks too, for the compliments about Kelly. We excited about her joining our team. Hope your vacation is / was wonderful.

    2. Thanks, Matt. Kelly is a bright spark on our tours. Her guests are always entertained and informed. Thanks for letting us know, and thanks for going on the tour. Hope you enjoyed your time in OC.

  5. We may be interested in the Berlin walk on June 19. How much in advance do you need to register and is there a limit on the number of people you take on the walk? We all work in Ocean City and are trying to coordinate days off.

    Thank you.

    1. You can purchase tickets up until the time of the tour, however these tours tend to sell out days before. You have a 48 hour window for cancellation with full refund. You may want to reserve your spot.
